王建平,2005年获得美囯密歇根州立大学植物遗传育种学专业博士学位,2005至2010年在美国伊利诺伊州大学香槟校区从事博士后研究。致力于甘蔗基因组、甘蔗的起源与演化,主要作物农艺性状的分子遗传机制等相关研究。研究结果先后发表于 Science, NaturePNASThe Plant JournalBMC Genomics 等刊物。 现为美国佛罗里达大学农学系遗传与基因组学研究方向助理教授及博士生导师。


主要研究方向
1.通过对甘蔗全基因启动子序列及其对应基因表达分析来研究纤维素及蔗糖积累与转化的分子调控机制.
  2.通过对甘蔗核心种质资源的外显基因组序列分析来研究甘蔗生物量的主控基因及等位基因内/间互作效应并探索甘蔗的起源与演化。
  3.通过基因组定位与图位克隆来解析主要作物农艺性状的分子遗传机制。
